Delhi: India’s 13-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created history by scoring a century in just 58 balls in the Youth Test match against Australia Under-19 team. In this match being played at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, Suryavanshi batted brilliantly and made the record of becoming the youngest person to score a century in professional cricket. He has achieved this feat at the age of 13 years and 188 days.
Earlier, this record was in the name of Nazmul Hussain Shanto of Bangladesh, who scored a century in Youth ODI in 2013 at the age of 14 years and 241 days. Pakistan’s Babar Azam also scored a century in Youth ODI in 2009 at the age of 15 years and 48 days.
At the same time, Vaibhav Suryavanshi had earlier become the youngest player to score a fifty at any level in world cricket with his half-century. Now by completing the century he has made another record in his name. In this innings, Vaibhav has hit 14 fours and 4 sixes.
