Delhi : The Indian team is going to play a Test series against Bangladesh soon, and for this the BCCI has also announced the team. However, the names of many key players are missing in this announcement. Some players are out due to injury, while some have been removed from the team due to poor form. Meanwhile, an important update has come out regarding the return to the field of a major all-rounder among the injured players.
According to reports, Indian team’s star all-rounder Shardul Thakur was out of the team for a long time due to injury. Shardul underwent ankle surgery on June 12, and now he is ready to return to the cricket field. Shardul suffered an ankle injury during IPL 2024, after which he was away from the game. Now, he can make a comeback through the Irani Cup.
When is the Iranian Cup starting?
Shardul Thakur has performed brilliantly for Mumbai in domestic cricket. Especially, during Ranji Trophy 2024, he played an important role in winning the title for Mumbai. Shardul showed excellent performance with both bat and ball. This season, he scored 255 runs while batting, including a century, which he scored in the semi-final match. Also, he took 16 wickets in bowling.
